We are satisfied with team performance in camp, friendly games differ from official ones

Mohammed Obaid Hammad, member of the Steering Committee of Al Ain Football Club Affairs Management, head of the Al Ain mission in Spain, voiced his deep gratitude and appreciation for the high patronage, generous support, and constant follow-up of the team’s mission from His Highness Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors, representing an important motivation for all team members to show their best and achieve the goals desired.

Hammad asserted that His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Club and Chairman of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Affairs of Al Ain Football Club Company directed the opening of the two friendly games against Bahraini Al-Khaldiya team and Emirati Khor Fakkan team for Al Ain’s fans and revealing  of the final list of the team.

In statements to the Club’s official website, Hammad praised the commitment, seriousness, strong desire, sense of responsibility, spirit of cooperation and one family that marked the performance of all Al Ain’s players and all members of the Club’s mission in Spain throughout the external preparation camp’s period for achieving the desired gains.

“We are satisfied with the results achieved in the Spain camp. Yet, the preparation program is still on, as there is a complementary stage ahead of the start of the season and requires the continuation of work in the same contribution and spirit that the team showed in the camp. We are well aware that the season will be challenging and the friendly games during the preparation period for the season are completely different from official ones,” he added.

He went on saying, “All clubs are ready for a strong competitive season. We strive to achieve our goals as the rest of clubs do. We are also well aware that the champions of last season are looking forward to keeping their titles, and there are competitors, who are ready to embrace titles, and friendly games are geared towards preparation and their results cannot lead to titles. Our confidence is great in Al Ain Club, which distinguishes itself from the rest by having the largest fan base, with respect and appreciation for the fans of the rival teams. Al Ain fans are the biggest and most influential in winning the games that drive the team for titles throughout its history, and in every competition there is on champion and is crowned at the end of the season”.

Asked about the success of the team camp, he said: “The camp achieved its desired goals, as I mentioned to you, in terms of technical indicators and physical fitness, and eyed commitment, discipline and seriousness from all players. Still, the evaluation should not be done at the present time, but rather at the end of the season. Again, we are well aware that task will not be easy, and the challenges awaiting the team are great. Competition will be fierce at the local and continental levels, and we ask Allah Almighty for success”.

On the team’s preparation program in Al Ain City, he said: “The coaching staff gave the team players a 48-hour rest, after returning from the camp. The team is scheduled to resume its training programs on August 1st. The internal preparatory program is scheduled to include two friendly games; the first is on August 6th, against Al-Khaldiya, the Bahraini league champion, during which the final team list will be revealed, and the second is on August 12th, against Khor Fakkan.
