Rebrov Involved 16 Players Including Young Players like Mane’ and Mazroui in Pyunik Yerevan Friendly Match

Kouame and Abbas Joins Intensive Training Sessions to Boost Their Physical Fitness Level

“Al Ain Team did achieve the pre-set goals and desired gains out of the home training camp held in Abu Dhabi during the current break time in addition to playing the scheduled two friendlies against Al Taawon Team and Pyunik Yerevan of the Armenia’s Premier League,” Abdullah Ali stated to Al Ain Club’s official website.

As for the importance of the second friendly match against the Armenian team, Abdullah Ali stated: “The match was tough and the two team’s coaching teams achieved the desired gains. Sergiy Rebrov gave the chance for 16 players including young players such as Khalifa Al Mazroui, Mane’ Saeed and Adham Khalid, in addition to players who did not play official matches since a long time like Saeed Al Menhali and Jamal Marouf. The coach also involved Sultan Al Shamesi who recovered from his injury and played the two friendlies.”

Commenting on a question on why certain players did not play in the two friendly matches, he stated: “Indeed, both the coaching teams and medical staff are so patient in involving injured players although Mohammed Abbas and Kouame Autonne did join the training sessions of the team. However, they have joined special training sessions to boost up their physical fitness levels prior playing friendlies and hope to see them in the team’s coming matches.”

He concluded his statement by saying that the coach granted the squad players a 24-hour break following the end of the home training camp. He also said that the team would resume their training sessions after the break and physical fitness coach focuses on getting the injured players into form and we are waiting for the international players to rejoin the squad soon.
