On this occasion, Abdullah Ali, the Team Supervisor, welcomed the new player stressing that “we all here trust the skills of the current squad players under the command of Sergiy Rebrov. We are all so keen to support the team to achieve the desired goals.”

He added: “The strategy of the Al Ain Club Football Company has been crystal clear since the beginning of the current season to add more teeth to the squad and to furnish all grounds of success while taking into account the balance principle regarding the age of players. Therefore, the strategy in place is based on having a mix of the experienced and young players.”

Abdullah Ali extended his sincerest appreciation to the competent committee tasked to manage the contracts dossier for their dedicated efforts to meet all the team’s requirements per the reports of the Pro Committee.

He pointed out that there always be challenges that face teams during the winter transfers window, and “I believe signing the young player, Omar Saeed, to the squad is an additional gain to the team”. He wished the new player and his teammates all the best of luck to achieve their aspirations and make loyal Ainawi fans happy.

In his first press statement after signing the contract, he said: “It is my childhood dream to play for Al Ain Club. I feel happy and proud at this important moment in my career. I am well aware of the value and prestigious position of the Club. I want to thank the team’s management and head coach for their confidence in me, and I promise them to work hard and show my fighting spirit in defending the Boss badge.”

Commenting on a question on his relationship with the team’s players, he said: “I know all Al Ain Team players, but I keep a close relationship with Mohammed Abbas, Khalid Al Blooshi and Naser Al Shekaili, Saeed Jumaa, and Jonatas de Santos who played for Hatta Team in 2019-2020 season. Personally, I am so enthusiastic about living this experience.”

As for his aspirations with the team, he said: “Those whose fate associate them with the Al Ain Club are well aware that their aspirations would not soar below the skies. This is simply because we are talking about the only Club that drew a smile on the face of our homeland and defended and is still defending the name and reputation of UAE football continentally and globally. This is the Boss winner of the AFC Champions League 2003, and the best team represented the Asian, Gulf, and Arab clubs in FIFA Clubs World Cup- UAE 2018. All of these achievements motivate me to push myself to the limit and win local and international titles with the Boss squad.”
