Al Ain Japans’ Tsukasa Shiotani stated in his open remarks in the pre-match press conference that his team’s match against Ittihad Kalaba is so essential.

“Our mission will not be easy at all. We all understand that we have to do our best on the pitch and should be highly focused as of the kickoff whistle until the last minute of the match to ensure snatching the three points of the match,” Shiotani stressed.

As for his new position as a central defender, Shio replied: “I feel comfortable with any position that the head coach sees appropriate for me. I am all set to defend the Boss’ badge in any position the coach selects for me to serve his plan on the pitch. I am really so pleased to play under the command of Pedro Emmanuel.”

Commenting on the hard loss at home against Iran’s Sepahan, Shio stated: “Yesterday, we experienced bad moments and saying sorry to the fans is not enough. We will show that through actions. I hope they trust us, and we promise them to be better in the upcoming match.”

He concluded by stating that the team still has five other matches in the Stage Group of the AFC Champions League and that they are still competing fiercely in the league and the President’s Cup. “We hope to see all the loyal fans behind the team at all times.”
