Matar Obaid Al Dhahiri Al Sahbani, Al Ain Football First Team Manager, congratulated Omar Abdul Rahman being honored with the Mohammed Bin Rashid AL Maktoum Creative Sports Award in its 9th edition. “Omar deserves the award with a merit for his diligence, commitment and keenness to achieve the best results in all events with his team and UAE National Team at the national and international levels. Such a great effort led him to win the Best Asian Player Award in 2016 though he was placed second in 2015. We do wish success and be crowned the Best Asian Player in 2017 and undoubtedly the Creative Sports Award was awarded to the player who deserves it,” said he.

Commenting on Amoory’s chances of winning the Best Asian Player Award, he said: “As a matter of fact, supremacy indicators are in Omar’s advantage to be crowned with title of Asia’s No.1 Star and we do hope he will be crowned with the award. Currently, Amoory is a real a milestone in the stardom of the Asian football and this evident as he is breaking his last year record by standing on the honoring stage for the third time in a third row.” He added: “Al Ain has the right to take pride in Amoory’s personal achievements at the local and continental levels, similarly as Real Madrid and Barcelona are proud of Cristiano and Messi’s achievements.”

As for the team’s readiness for the top clash against Al Nasr in matchweek 10 of AGL, he pointed out: “Definitely, the challenging circumstances we are facing in terms of the successive absences are not excuses for any drop down in results. On the contrary, such conditions should be a motive for any one holding the logo of the club to achieve the desired results and proves that he is entitled to defend the logo of one of the best clubs of the continent as long as his name on the team’s lineup.” Al Sahbani called for each player to exhibit their fighting spirit and the robust desire to win the challenge against all competitors during the coming matches.”

He went on to say: “We do respect Al Nasr’s aspirations but if we want to go ahead and compete to win the title of the league, we have to push our points ahead to be 25 points with the end of the first round of AGL. “As for Caio absence, the Head Coach will decide the readiness level of the Brazilian striker Dyanfres Douglas and the “international” midfielder Mohammed Abdul Rahman and whether they are going to participate in the coming match,” said he.

He signed off by commenting on the health conditions of the injured player by saying: “Caio has been exposed to a back muscle injury and it is determined that he will join the squad within three weeks based on his responsiveness to medical treatment. It is confirmed that Bandar Al Ahbabi, Amer Abdul Rahman and Shiotani will not be part of the squad in Al Nasr clash as they are still under medical treatment.”
