During his tour, he checked on the work mechanism of the academy teams and tests programs dedicated for Emirati Females’ sons born in UAE. The “Match Day Program” camera spotted him holding a meeting with U-15 Team who is one of the most advanced teams in the current football season. H.E. the Chairman was accompanied by Sultan Rashid, Board Member, General Supervisor of the Football Academy and Acting Sport Director of Football Company.

Al Hajeri said: “We are proud to put in place an ideal mechanism for selecting distinguished female nationals’ sons born in UAE in realization of the directives of His Highness the President of the State, may Allah protects him, regarding involving them in official sport competitions.” He added: “We are so pleased with the results of these tests and the inclusion of distinguished talents to the teams during the past period. I would like to avail this opportunity to extend my sincere thanks for the dedicated efforts exerted by the sports sector under the supervision of Sultan Rashid and the work team in charge of following up this important file.”

In his turn, Sultan Rashid stressed that it is decided to allocate a day per week to test junior players and announcement is placed on the club’s official website its official account on the social media. He stated: “Almost every week, we test the potentials of more than 100 players. If we are successful in selecting 3 players out of such number, I think the result will be perfect. Also, doors are open to those who desire to be retested every week, but the priority is always for the new registrants.”

“Last Wednesday witnessed the third stage of tests. Indeed, test procedures starts with medical test for all the candidates following obtaining all their personal information in the presence of their parents. Surely, there are distinguished players who are selected directly to enroll the training programs and others are subject to a trial period determined by the Technical Director of the Academy and the work teams tasked to implement this project,” said he.

In response to a question on the outcome of tests, he said: “The total number of players registered so far is about 500 each week and a group of them is selected to be tested as I mentioned earlier. The total number of players selected is nearly 20 players. I do believe that the number of players is so good because the number is increasing and tests are still ongoing, besides the registration process is still open. I am sure that the gains which clubs will gain will be great as a result of implementing f this historic and important decision.”
