Sustaining Its Record Results and Qualifying to President’s Cup Final.. The Boss Hits Shabab Al Ahli Dubai for a Historical Six

The “Boss” stars pursued theirs record-breaking results with a historical 6-0 victory over Shaba Al Ahli Dubai in a semi-final match of the President’s Cup held at the Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium at Al Jazira Club. By this extraordinary result, Al Ain is officially qualified to the final match of the dearest championship to meet Al Wasl on Thursday 3rd May 2018 at Zayed Sports City Stadium.

The clean six goals were scored by Caio Lucas who scored double goals at“4- 79”, and one goal by Hussein El Shahat “9”, Marcus Berg “65” from the penalty spot, Ahmad Khalil “83” from the penalty spot and Bandar Al Ahbabi “92”.

Al Ain ended the first half taking the lead by 2-0.

The “Boss” kicked off with a strong rhythm and only gave the guests four minutes to score the lead goal by the Brazilian Caio Lucas, who received a wonderful pass from the “International” Swedish striker, Marcos Berg, and professionally translated it to a goal in Majed Naser’s net.

Al Ain’s stars dominated all spaces of the pitch and adopted an aggressive offensive style over the opponent who were forced to retreat to their area to mitigate the impact of the “Boss” offense attempts to add another goal.

At the “9” minute of the first half, Al Ain doubled Al Ahli’s agony. It was a sublime chip into the box by Omar Abdul Rahman over a host of Al Ahli players was met by Hussein El Shahat, who slipped through the defense to net a fine header past the keeper. The assistant referee initially ruled it an offside but video technology confirmed the goal. It was another goal which left Al Ahli defense in poor light.

Al Ain added to their tally to make it 3-0. Video Assistant Referee found Hassan Ibrahim had fouled Berg using the video technology and confirmed that Hassan pushed Berg intentionally inside the box. The Swede coolly deposited the ball into the right corner “65”.

Brazil’s Caio Lucas scored his second personal and his team’s fourth goal when he received a brilliant cross ball from Berg which he easily tapped it in as Al Ahli players looked on haplessly “79”.

The mayhem continued as Ahmed Khalil was fouled inside the box by Shabab Al Ahli Dubai’s Defender, Mohammed Sabeel. The Emirati striker himself converted the spot kick adding his team’s 5th goal at “83”.

There was no end to Al Ahli’s misery as Bandar Al Ahbabi made it 6-0 with his individual efforts in additional time when he sent a powerful shot that settled in the upper coroner of the net and announcing the end of the match.
