Tahnoon Bin Hamdan: Nothing beyond the reach of ‘Zayed’s Sons’
In a statement to Al Ain FC’s official website, Sheikh Tahnoon Bin Hamdan Bin Mubarak Al Nahyan expressed his confidence that Al Ain FC players are capable of outplaying the South Korean Jeonbuk in the AFC finals second-leg building on their great performance and Asprilla’s goal during the first-leg.
He praised the players’ defiant and heroic performance against their rivals who enjoyed its advantage; “They fared well, played peer-to-peer and created many scoring opportunities; besides, the goal they were first to score will positively motivate them in the second-leg. These are ‘Zayed’s Sons’ and nothing is inaccessible to them,” he added.
Sheikh Tahnoon saw it was a credit for Al Ain FC to score against a powerful team in an away. “The result of the first-leg was satisfactory and I expect Al Ain will end the second-leg 2-0 and win the title,” he speculated.
He saw it was normal to arrive early while the players were training to cheer them up and to see them off the airport; “It’s our duty to support them; they’re representing our country; if not at that moment, when is the proper time to stand by them!” he concluded.
