Team Manager of Al Ain first team Matar Obaid Al Sahbani has stressed the importance of game against Al Dhafra in the Arabian Gulf League.

Al Ain will look for the full three points from the Friday evening game to reach the 25th point, Al Sahbani said.

In press statements, the team manager said that the Boss is now restoring its real power, pointing out that the capabilities of the Garden City club were clear in the last game.
Last week, Al Ain banked on a Marcus Berg brace to win 2-1 against Al Nasr and keep the pressure on Al Wasl heading into the halfway stage of the competition.

I think that all players are well aware of what are they required to do in order to continue honorable performance in the upcoming games, he said.

Al Sahbani hailed all players of the team, especially Captain Omar Abdulrahman who had great performance in the first game he joined after a four-day long absence.

Abdulrahman affirmed that he is a professional player as he kept fit despite the fatigue of travel and lack of participation in the exercises for a long time, Al Sahbani added.

Asked whether the distinguished victory over Al Dhafra in the cup would constitute a strong motivation for the team in the league game, the official said that the clubs with history managed to focus on the future not on previous matches.

He further noted that teams which want to win should exert the utmost efforts in the field, stressing that the team will be focusing on the Friday game “that will never be easy”. He called on all the players to show their best to achieve the main target of the game which is clinching the three points and reaching the 25th points.

The rivals will not be a piece of cake as many people think, Al Sahbani said, referring to the distinguished performance by Al Dhafra in their last game against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai club.

He wished the coaching staff and players all success in the Friday game, pointing out that he will be absent as he will be heading the delegation of “the Boss” to the group-stage draw ceremony of the 2018 AFC Champions League.

On the return of the absent players, Al Sahbani said that return of the players will promote the capabilities of the team in the second half of the league.

On Al Ain’s chances to be the “Winter Champion”, the team manger stressed that the Garden City Club is only focusing on the Friday game, reaching the 25th point and continuing the strong results.

Al Wasl will take on Shabab Al Ahli in the Dubai derby on Friday. Al Wasl are currently occupying the top spot with 22 points. Al Ain, on the other hand, have also collected 22 points but they find themselves in the second spot due to Al Wasl’s better goal difference.
