Croatia’s Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain FC, inaugurated the post-match press conference of Al Ain and Al Wahda by congratulating his team for their great victory over Al Wahda by thrilling result of 6-2. He emphasized: “Despite being so happy by the great result and the high fighting spirit exhibited by Al Ain’s players, I am a bit annoyed for conceding two goals in nearly one minute. It was possible to finish the match early! I hope that such mistakes will not happen again in the coming stages.”

Commenting on a question on whether he felt worried following conceding two goals, he said: “Sure, I was thinking about all the odds and the worst conditions that could happen during the confrontation. However, Al Ain was able to show their strong charisma and this is the what features big teams in such crucial encounters. Yet, conceding two goals in a minute is not good and this should not happen again.”

“Actually, our match against Al Wahda in the Gulf Cup was completely different. We played that match missing 10 key players and it cannot be compared to tonight’s clash match. This match is a fateful clash match and so important in both teams’ journey to win the title of the league,” said he in response to a question on the reason behind the high fighting spirit that his team enjoyed whether it was as a reaction of their recent loss against their opponent by 5-1 in the Gulf Cup. He added: “All players fulfilled their tasks in the right manner and still we have another match against Al Jazira. Indeed, if we do not win this match as if we did nothing.”

He went on to say: “We have to be calm and focused. We will have a break time and then commence prior getting into our preparatory training programs for the coming AFC Champions League match against Esteghlal Tehran. Addo to that, we still have four matches in the league and we have to be more cautious and smart when dealing with all these challenges.”

He addressed the fans by saying: “I am so thankful for the Ainawi fans for their great support to the team.” He pointed out: “We hope to see similar massive attendance of fans in our coming matches till the end of the season. We are in deep need for our fans to move ahead with the positive results and we will work together to achieve our desired goals. We have the right to celebrate our victory as Ainawis but we have to show the full respect to all our competitors.”
He concluded the press conference by answering a question on the percentage to win the title: “It is 0%.”
