Matar Obeid Al Daheri “Al Sahbani”, Manager of Al Ain First Team, stated that the “Boss” Delegation is scheduled to fly to Austria Friday 14th July early morning to resume their preparations for the coming football season as part of the second phase, i.e. the away camp. The team is planned to be fly back to the State on Saturday 12th August to continue their training sessions.
Al Sahbani pointed out that Al Ain FC will commence their friendly matches by a strong confrontation against Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli FC on 26th July prior playing against Azerbaijan’s Inter Baku playing in the Premier League of Azerbaijan on 31st July. The team will also play against German’s Hertha Berlin on 7th August. The Head Coach of Al Ain FC is studying the options available whether to play against an Arab national team or German’s FC Köln of Bundesliga on 11th August marking the end of his away camp. This comes as a result of canceling the friendly match in this camp scheduled on 20th July to play a friendly match in Al Ain City prior the match against Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal FC as part of the quarterfinals of the AFC Champions League scheduled to be held on 21st August.

Commitment, Seriousness and Sense of Accountability
Al Sahbani commended the players’ desire to achieve the best gains during the initial preparatory stage and their willingness to show the spirit of commitment and their feeling of responsibility which has been significant during the first phase of preparations for the new coming football season. The team initiated this phase by the home camp held on 10th July. He pointed out that players who were exempted from joining this phase and were granted a break by the Head Coach Zoran were so keen to attend the medical checkups. It is a sign of dedication that eases our minds and assures everyone that Al Ain’s preparations are on the right track.

As for those players granted a break time by the Head Coach, Al Sahbani commented ” They were given this privilege as they did not have enough time to relax compared to their teammates as they directly joined the National Team by the end of the past football season. I do believe that the Head Coach’s decision was right as the “international” players are indeed were in deep need for passive relaxation time prior joining the preparatory program in the away camp.”

Key Absentees
Commenting on a questing on the expected players who will not join the team in the beginning of the camp, Al Sahbani stated, “First of all I would like to congratulate Al Ain’s player Saeed Al Minhali again on the occasion of getting married. The Coach decided to give him a break and then to join the camp on 20th July along with his teammates who joined the UAE Olympic Team, including: Mohammed Saeed Busenda, Saeed Jumaa and Ali Eid Gumail.
As for the injured players, he said, “As a matter of fact, the status of players recovering from injuries is great, particularly that all the players exerted great efforts during the previous stage and mainly during the holy month of Ramadan and Eid Al Fiter. However, the two “international” players: Ismael Ahmad and Khaled Issa will continue their rehabilitation program under the supervision of Al Ain Team’s physician and physical fitness coach. They will fly from our camp in Austria to Barcelona for further medical checkups. Indeed, Khaled Issa will follow on his medical treatment there based on his consulting doctor’s recommendation prior both fly back to the team’s camp in Austria. They were in need for a break time before joining the team in the second stage of the preparatory program in the away camp.
