“My team is fully ready and at the bets and highest level,” Al Ain FC head coach Zoran Mamic stated in the pre-match press conference dedicated for his team’s round2 match of the FIFA Club World Cup against Espérance de Tunisia scheduled to be held on Saturday 15th December 2018 at 08:30 p.m.

The Croatian head coach assured the fans of the team that “I have already set up the plan for tomorrow’s match but will assess the health conditions of the Swedish striker, Marcus Berg, and the midfielder Yahiya Nader during the training session of today.”

On whether he analysed the Tunisian team’s performance, he said: “The team is strong one and has quality players. For sure, tomorrow’s match will not be like the one we played against New Zealand’s Team Wellington and we cannot compare the coming match with the past one.”

“I watched videos of Espérance de Tunisia matches during the past two days and already identified their weak and strong points. Indeed, they are featured by being fast in passing the ball and has an aggressive front line and under no circumstances the match will not be easy,” he said.

Responding to a question on the lessons learned following the significant “Remontada” the team achieved in the opening match, he said: “Of course, there were lessons learned! We must stay focus during the whole minutes of the match and to enjoy the high spirits. This does not only apply for the coming match but for all the matches we are to play in the future.”

He added: “We will have a plan for our next match and we will conduct another training session in the coming hours. I will assess the level of the players’ fitness and readiness for Saturday’s match and then will select the starting XI, considering that there are certain players who still need more time for recovery.”

On the advice he will give to his team players prior the kick-off of the match, he said: “It always the same advice. I urge them to enjoy the match and absolutely it is great to enjoy the thing you are doing as it will keep stress and pressure away from you as a player.”

He also delivered a message to the Ainawi fans: “The atmosphere inside the field was amazing because of the fans who stood behind the team and helped us all to achieve such a historical remontada. I hope to see them again in our match against the Tunisian team as I am sure this will have a great positive impact on the players’ performance.”

Responding to the last question in the conference on whether he feels any pressures prior tomorrow’s match he said: “We do suffer from any pressures. We all know what we are meant to do. We have to do our best and redouble our efforts in the coming match to be able to qualify to the next stage.”
