In the post-match press conference held following the end of Al Ain’s match against Al Wasl in the final match of the President’s Cup and in the night of second coronation of the “Boss” in one week, the Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team Zoran Mamic immensely happy with his team’s second achievement said: “Our season is not over yet; we have other two remaining matches.” He hailed his team by saying: “Al Ain team has deserved to win the title of the President’s Cup.”

He stressed: “We did not play well against Al Wasl, especially in the first half. In the second half of the game we had a lot of chances in front of the net but we did not take advantage of them in the right manner.” He added: “At any rate, winning two goals against one or more in football remains a win and personally very proud of my team and I would like to thank the loyal Ainawi fans for their strong support of the team the whole season until we achieved the two historical titles.”

Commenting on a question on the secret behind the quantum leap he was able to create in the level of his team although Al Ain was not a candidate by the end of the first round to win any title this season, he said: “Indeed, the question here is where the experts are who did not nominate Al Ain to win any title by the end of the first round, and what the standards are based on which they established their decision!!”

In response to a question on his feelings following winning the two historic titles, he said: “I am certainly very happy with what we have achieved this season at the local level, but we have already two matches in the Asian Championships and we will not accept any result except winning them.” He signed off: “In the coming season, we are planning to win more titles as winning two titles next season will not be enough for us so as to be able to make our fans happy.”
