Pure Control

However, all the “Boss’” attempts to score in the early minutes of the match missed the final touch. Meanwhile, Ajman, played defensively relying on counter attacks which were ineffective during the whole first half.

Al Ainawi midfielder, Ibrahim Diaky, was so close to score the team’s first goal when he sent a powerful free-kick at the edge of the home team box hitting the defense wall and bounced back to him inside the box where he sent it again directly to the goal but it hit Ajman’s player and turned into a corner kick but not exploited by Al Ainawis at 21st minute.

Taking the Lead
Diaky was able to translate Al Ain’s domination over the home team when he received a clever pass sent by Mohammed Fayez who penetrated from the back area. Diaky controlled his ball skillfully running behind Ajman’s defenders and found a good space to find himself facing the goalkeeper. He quietly sent his shoot to the back nets of the opponent team giving Al Ain’s the lead by scoring the first goal at 28″.

Prior point to the first half break, the referee was obliged to use the red card against Ajman’s striker Modibo Maiga for beating Al Ain defender Firas AlKhusaibi without a ball at “45”.

With the start of the second half, Ajman team managed to equalize by friendly fires through their striker, Bakari Kony, who received a nice pass from Adelson from the right side. Bakari sent the ball directly to Al Ain’s goal and Marcus Berg tried to intercept the ball by his head, but mistakenly he sent it into Bu Senda’s far corner at “53”. Ajman player Hussein Abdul Rahman added the second goal for his team, translating Bakri Kony’s pass into a goal in Al Ain’s nets when he faced Abu Send face to face and sent his ball quietly to the back nets giving his team the lead at “64”.

The “Boss” was almost able to equalize but the rocket shot fired by Mohsen Abdullah from inside Ajman’s area hit the bar depriving Al Ain from scoring their 2nd goal at “71”.

However, Douglas managed to equalize by scoring the second goal as he cruised high to a cross from Caio Lucas to send it by his head powerfully to the back nets but the goalkeeper sent it away but Douglas was in the right place to send it again into the back nets announcing the 2nd goal for Al Ain at “77”.

Al Ain players exerted high pressure on Ajman from the depth and flanks till they were able to score the victory goal which held the signature of Mohsen Abdullah at “84” who sent a header from above the defenders and the goalkeeper when observed that the goalkeeper is away from his three posts to end the match by winning Ajman by 3-2.
