Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, Zoran Mamic, congratulated his players for the important win at the expense of the home team while stressing the fact that “The match was not easy compared to missing the huge number of players, that is 13 to 14 players. Nevertheless, those who played today did their best and were able to achieve a deserved victory.”
“At the beginning of the season, I addressed the issue of how important it is to all our matches. Personally, I hope that we will win this championship and all the titles we are competing for this season.”

Responding to a question on the reasons for the team’s back to the game though the result was 2-1 in favor of Ajman, he said: “We dominated the match since the kickoff whistle. Though our lines were complete, the home team was able to equalize and then to take the lead by the start of the second half because of the quality strikers they have. However, Al Ain squad has distinct players and they fight aggressively until the end of the match and achieved a deserved victory at the expense of their opponent.”

“I do not have players in the back line for they all joined UAE National Team and I have no other options. This is why I tasked Marcus to play center back, particularly he was playing in Sweden as a defender when he was playing in U-18 Youth Team. His performance in today’s match was stunning as he is a professional player and understands the team’s current situation and was not upset because of my decision,” said Zoran on the reasons for tasking Marcus to play in the back line though he is a professional striker.

“I do not think we took advantage of sending Ajman’s player off the pitch with a red card in his pocket because my team played very badly after that,” said he in response to a question on the extent of making use of Ajman’s losing a player by red card.
