The Al Ain’s Tunisian defender Yassin Meriah said that the players know well what they are meant to do in the coming big match between the Boss, the top team on the standing table, and Shabab Al Ahli placed second.

“We have to win the match result in line with the Boss name, reputation, and prestige. We understand that Shabab Al Ahli seeks to do their best to win the coming match, given that they are playing at home,” Meriah said in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 7 of ADNOC Pro League.

He added: “We look forward to improving our performance consistent with the Ainawi Nation’s aspirations. They always support the team to achieve great and positive results. Definitely, we would spare no effort to keep going and win all competitors in the ADNOC Pro League and put firm hands on the top spot of the league.”

Commenting on a question on his point of view in all tickets sold signs five days ahead of the matchday, he said: “I believe that tickets assigned for Al Ain fans sold in two rounds in a row is evidence that it would be a clash match. It is also a message for everybody that all the Boss’ matches are important, specifically tomorrow’s match, as well as the fans’ confidence in the players’ capabilities to win the home team.”

He signed off by saying: “The most important issue is to be highly focused and perform well to back to our fort with three points in hand. I hope we will be in our day and make our fans happy.”
