The “international” defender of Al Ain and UAE National Team, Ismail Ahmed, emphasized that all Al Ain’s coming matches will be played as if they are final ones and there is no room to waste any point in the team’s challenge journey to win the title of AGL.

“Our match against Hatta is the most important for the team currently and we are required to go on achieving the great results and maintain our first top position in the standing table,” added he. He pointed out: “We do understand that our task against the visitors will not be easy as all teams push themselves to the limit when it comes to play against Al Ain. However, we are more determined than before to move forward and achieve our desired goals in the current season.”

As for absences, he commented: “Absolutely, Al Ain squad will miss key players in today’s significant match and their absence will have an explicit impact on the team’s performance. Yet, the Head Coach has a full trust in certain players who definitely will fill the gaps and their teammates will offer them all the support. We are required to be highly focused, be calm and patient since the kickoff whistle until the last minute of the match.”

“The most important thing for us at present is to win this match regardless of performance especially it is held at home and among our fans,” said he. He addressed a message to the loyal fans by saying: “I hope to have a strong support by the team’s fans because such confrontations are sometimes more difficult than the “derby” matches as the latter receives strong and full support by the fans that promotes the team’s strength and enable the players to achieve the team’s goals. Personally, I trust that the loyal Ainawi Nation will be there to support the players.”

Commenting on having Ahmed Khalil and Hussein El Shahat on board, he said: “The two players are certainly of an added value to the “Boss” for the quality and high skills they both enjoy. I believe Al Ain was quite lucky in selecting them and I do wish them all the best.”
