“Al Ain is only two steps away from the finish line of the challenge race to clinch the title of the Arabian Gulf League,” said Zoran Mamic, Head Coach of Al Ain First Football Team, inaugurating the pre-match press conference of his team’s match against Al Nasr in matchweek 21. He stressed: “We do understand that our next match against Al Nasr will not be easy going, given that the opponent has demonstrated an exceptional performance, technically speaking, during their last seven matches. I believe if they had played in the same level since the kickoff of the season, they would have a better spot in the standing table and add to that the team has superior head coach.” He went on to say: “At any rate, we are determined to pursue achieving the strong and positive results in the pitch and unquestionably I have full confidence in all my team’s players and know very well what we are meant to do to snatch the three points when playing against the opponent team this coming Saturday.”

Responding to a question on the team’s desire to celebrate winning the title prior being ready for the President’s Cup semifinal match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, he said: “We do not think at all about celebrations as much as we focus on exhibiting the quality performance and win the coming confrontation. Following that, we will all set to be ready for the match against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai in line with the Club’s strategy adopted since the kickoff of the current season, that is to deal with each match discretely.”

“Definitely, we will tackle the coming semifinal match of the President’s Cup against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai following the end of Saturday’s confrontation against Al Nasr,” responded he on a question on his reaction to the draw of the semifinal matches of the President’s Cup that resulted in confronting Shabab Al Ahli Dubai.

He concluded by responding to a question on the team’s absences when playing against Al Nasr: “All players of the “Boss’” squad are in the highest level of readiness, all of them will be part of my options for Saturday’s match and we have no absences.”
