We Will Not Look for Excuses, and Both Teams Suffer from the Same Pressures.. Bandar Al Ahbabi: We Fight for Al Ain’s Logo, and We Aim to Make the Fans Happy
“The climate among the squad players is positive, and all are determined to do their best to win the opponent in the first leg match in preparation for the away second leg match,” Bandar Al Ahbabi stated in the pre-match press conference of first leg clash match of the quarterfinal of ADIB Cup against Al Wahda.
Bandar added: “We know well what we are meant to do and how to handle such matches, which mainly require high concentration and fighting during the whole minutes of the match.”
He explained that such matches should be dealt with as the final cup match. We have a firm will to achieve our goals and make fans happy, given that we are playing at home and among our fans.”
Responding to a question on the fact that there is not much time between the first and second leg matches, he said: “For sure that both teams suffer from the same pressures, and I believe that there are no excuses regarding the pressures of matches or the short time between the two matches.”
However, he stressed that the team focuses only on the first leg match, and then they will start thinking about the second leg match as the strategy is to deal with each game separately to ensure qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
The Captain of the Al Ain squad stressed the importance of fans’ support during the coming matches. “They motivate the players to achieve their goals in the current season. We will save no effort to make them happy.”
