“I know it will not be an easy mission for my team, but I expect a completely different confrontation compared to the first leg match,” Zoran Mamic said in the pre-match press conference of the match between Al Ain and Al Duhail SC in the last-16-round of the AFC Champions League scheduled to be held in Al Doha. He stressed: “We got 90 minutes and we will spare no efforts to exhibit our genuine fighting spirit.” He emphasized that his team did not show their authentic level of performance although they were playing at their own turf “Though we lost the first leg match, we still have the chance to snatch the qualifying card to the next stage. What I am sure of is that we will do our best and achieve the targeted result and make our fans happy.”

He added: “We are facing certain problems due to Caio’s absence for receiving a red card and some players have health issues but all is under control.”

“I understand that the opponent is the strongest local team here. Indeed, we made his mission easier in the first leg match by committing mistakes. This time we have no room for any mistake,” commented he on the result of the first leg match.

Commenting on a question on Al Ain’s chances to qualify given that he only scored two goals in the first match, he said: “Anything could happen in football as nothing impossible in the dictionary of this game. This is why we are here today to prove it and we have no choice except to be realistic and fight to the very last minute.”

On Caio’s replacement, he said: “Each player has his own style and there is no certain player who could compensate Caio’s absence. However, my squad has lots of quality players taking into account that Hussein El Shahat will play tomorrow. Personally, I have no concerns regarding absences as much as I focus on available and ready to go players.”
