Winning in a Bragging Night, the “Boss” Edges Shabab Al Ahli Dubai to Third Position by Mohannad & Shiotani Goals

The “Boss” achieved a deserved victory over Shabab Al Ahli Dubai Club in the match that brought together the two teams on Friday evening at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium as part of the Arabian Gulf League week 3.

The first half of the match ended by 0-1 to the advantage of the home team held the signature of the “international” Mohannad Salem Al Enezi “45”. In the second half, the visitors equalized by Makhete Diop “66” and before a minute of the original end time “89”, Shiotani was able to score the winning second goal for Al Ain.

The match witnessed sending off the goalkeeper of Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, Saif Yousef, at “50” by red card and the team’s head coach, Olario Cosmin.

With this stunning victory, Al Ain raises their points to seven points and climb to second place on the table of the competition, while Al Ahli is third in the standings after the sixth point.

The win takes Al Ain up to seven points, two points behind Al Wahda. Shabab Al Ahli’s defeat mean their winning streak is broken and freezes at six points in third place.

On the sidelines of Friday’s match, the new LED floodlights of Hazza bin Zayed Stadium illuminated this iconic facility. The use of the advanced lighting technology reflects the keenness to achieve high level of excellence associated with one of the best football stadiums in the world. The new lighting system won the admiration of everyone in a spectacular dazzling night.

Swift Start

The confrontation had a swift start and the two team’s performance was featured by strong friction in the maneuvers area  in the center of the field. Both teams strive and fight to score at the earliest via offensive initiatives from depth and flanks but without real translation into goals until the minute “40”.

At “42” the referee pointed to a free kick to the advantage of Al Ain at the edge of the box after Shabab Al Ahli Dubai’s defender, Waleed Abbas, hindered the Al Ain’s striker Berg. Shabab Al Ahli Dubai striker Makhete Diop managed to bring his team back to the starting point with the draw goal when Manei Mohamed sent an angled cross from the left flank and Makhete Diop moved into space at the far post and intelligently placed his header from a tight angle to beat Khaled Issa and announcing the visitor’s first goal at “66”.

Caio sent a sharp screamer that hit the defender before hitting the goal post and turning into a corner at “75”.

With a minute left on the clock, the Japanese defender launched a long-range strike that beat Shabab Al Ahli’s substituted goalkeeper at the near post to win the tie for Al Ain.
