Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain Team congratulated his team for winning Shabab Al Ahli Dubai stressing that: “We did not play well during the first twenty minutes, but gradually the players’ performance improved. The good thing in this match is that my players showed that they are so thirsty and passionate to score in the back nets of the opponent team.”

“After the red card and sending the goalkeeper off pitch, we had to take advantage of that situation and take the lead by scoring more goals. Personally, I am so happy by winning this match and the three points we snatched this evening,” added the Head Coach.

“After sending off the visitors’ goalkeeper, players seemed little impulsive to score, besides the mistakes in our defense line. This enabled the rivals to take advantage and bring their team level. Indeed, we should not commit such mistakes,” said he in response to a question on why his team’s performance went down following producing a red card to the visitor’s goalkeeper.

On his bench players and to what extent he is satisfied by their performance, he commented: “I think every coach in the football world hopes to have more than three or four players with the skills and quality of Omar Abdul Rahman, but this is certainly difficult.” he added: “Indeed, I am fully satisfied by the players’ potentials and skills and wish all injured players speedy recovery to rejoin the team soon.”

As for the team’s chances to compete to win the League’s title, he said: “Undoubtedly, our goal is to compete for all titles because simply Al Ain is a big and great team and is meant to win all titles. However, we have to deal with each game in various competitions separately.”
