Zlatko: After Kalba, we’ll concentrate on Al Ahli’s match

In his post-match press conference, Zlatko congratulated his squad on winning 2-1 over Kalba wishing his hosts a better luck in the coming matches.
“We fared well but couldn’t protect our lead in the right time. It took us till Kalba levelled to tip the balance in our favor in the last minute,” he commented.
He pointed out that they had completely dominated the proceedings of the game and manage to win despite missing many of his key players. “Having guaranteed 3 points, we’ll turn Kalba’s page and move to plan for our next game versus Al Ahli in the President’s Cup,” he pointed out.
He said that he had kept Dyanfres and Asprilla at the bench because they had not trained with the team for 5 or 6 sessions; “I sent both players in during the last 20 minutes simply because they were not prepared to play a complete game,” he justified.
He admitted that he grew worried when Kalba managed to level; “During the halftime, I urged my men to score again because a 1-0 lead was not enough.  When the game was equalized, I sent in Diaky to reinforce the defensive line; it was a good choice because he scored the go-ahead goal.” He concluded.
