Zlatko seeks 3 must-win games to qualify

Al Ain’s last 2-3 loss to Al Nasr cast shade over Zlatko’s press conference before his team meets Al Shabab today night in the Arabian Gulf League. He urged his men to shake off their setback and shift their thoughts to winning the next three matches if they wanted to qualify for the AGL semifinals.

“Our match won’t be easy versus our hosts; we need to maintain a 90-minute attentiveness though I trust my men’s ability to achieve the desired result regardless of any circumstances,” he said.

He sounded confident that his men will fare well and win the three points despite missing the ‘international’ players in order to keep their hopes of qualification alive; “Today’s match serves as an exceptional opportunity for the non-international players to prove themselves in the absence of their colleagues,” he commented.
He pointed out that his keeper Khalid Issa is currently undergoing a special rehab program and trains separately in order to recover and join the team soon; “Hopefully, he’ll feel well soon to play the AFC semifinal away versus Qatar’s El Jaish.” He concluded.
