H.E Ghanem Mubarak Al Hajeri, Chairman of Al Ain Football Company, paid before yesterday a planned visit to Al Ain Football School. Accompanied by H.E Ahmad Humeid Al Mazrouei, Vice-Chairman; Captain Sultan Rashid, Board member and Al Ain Football Academy Supervisor and Captain Ali Mesri, Board member and Al Ain Football School Supervisor, Al Hajeri held an important meeting with all technical and administrative staffs working in the School.

Inspired by Al Ain Sports Club strategy and corporate values, the meeting was intended by Al Hajeri to firmly establish professionalism and improve KPIs used to evaluate the performance of the school teams of all age groups. He stressed that the evaluation process must not rely on the results or wins secured by these teams but rather on certain selection standards.

“We must properly select the juniors and kids, develop their full potential and ensure they can excel at their academic careers and behaviors, so they will form a pool of efficient players who can supply Al Ain first team and UAE National teams of all age groups. To achieve this end successfully, we must work in accordance with the best practices adopted by the world’s leading football academies and schools,” he explained.

Al Hajeri reminded that Al Ain Football Academy and School were established under a visionary decision taken by His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-President of the Executive Council of Abu Dhabi Emirate, First Deputy-President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Deputy President of the Honorary Board and Chairman of the Club. He pointed out that these two sports establishments, which have been provided with auspicious patronage and generous support by His Highness Sheikh Hazza, made Al Ain Sports Club one of the top-tier clubs in Asia and the Middle East with a football school accredited by UAE Ministry of Education and boasting more than 7 centers across Al Ain City.

“Given its importance, Al Ain Football School has been run based on the successful strategy set by His Highness Sheikh Hazza and carefully applied by all successive Boards of Directors in line with the standards of progress leveraging the Club’s existing distinctive resources,” he added.

“Al Ain football School,” he continued, “was also intended to enhance Al Ain Sports Club’s corporate social responsibility by providing the parents who like to have their children join the club with the same benefits awarded to their children. The club develops the full potential of these children, nourishes their talents and even entertains them under the supervision of specialized administrative, technical and medical staffs. They will be given the opportunity to join one of the club’s first teams based on their distinction.”

At the end of his visit, Al Hajeri thanked Captain Ali Mesri for his presentation which reviewed the School’s technical & admin plan, the selection process, the medical examinations, the training tests and programs, the development tools used to nourish young talents in addition to the communications process between the school, the academy and the First team.
