Zoran Mamic, the Croatian Coach of Al Ain FC, said his team’s next match against Deba is extremely important in line with the club’s new strategy which states that every next match is the most important since it is a new challenge for the team in the race.

“We are aware the encounter won’t be easy. Teams which don’t race for the title might sometimes be boldly against great teams because the way they prepare is completely different,” he pointed out.

“Therefore, we have to be fully prepared, double the efforts and deal smartly and seriously with the foes in order to win. Let’s not forget that Debba managed to hold us to a tie after they were 2 goals behind. This cost us 2 points,” he added.

Zoran stressed that he respects all rivals with a focus on having his men completely ready since the current phase requires more efforts and strength to be shown compared to the great potentials and skills of the team.

“With 9 matches remaining to the end of the AGL, we have to triple our focus, deal carefully throughout all encounters and stick to the teamwork. I have great faith in my players to show their best and achieve the best results especially with the return of the injured players,” Zoran elaborated.

“I definitely cannot talk about the previous errors. My main focus lies on the next match where I will ask the players for more focus and efforts in order not to lose any point at the HBZ stadium through following simple rules,” he explained.

Zoran expressed happiness as the players are quickly getting along with his training style. “Results are the true criterion against which success is evaluated. To this end, we must adopt the teamwork.”

Along with his assistants, Zoran watched footages for Deba club in order to devise the appropriate technical plan.

“I myself watched many video footages for Al Ain and knew the team includes exceptional and professional players. But since there isn’t enough time, I didn’t make any key changes on the play style. Hopefully, the meetings we held, directives given to players during the training sessions, as well as before and after the matches, will yield good for the club in the coming future,” he went on.

“Mohammed Abdurrahman will be messing for receiving a third yellow card. However, Bandar Al Ahbabi will be back on the lineup, Mohanad Al Enzi will be tested. On the other hand, ‘Ajab’ needs to rest for the time being,” he stated.

Zoran concluded that his men need to deal professionally with the matches if they want to compete for the title. The players also know there are great challenges ahead both locally and regionally. “I hope the team receives the necessary support from the fans.”
