Zoran Mamic, the Croatian Coach of Al Ain FC, admitted that his men’s performance against Al Shabab was neither interesting nor satisfying, but did win the full three points after the bitter loss last week, underlying the exceptional circumstances of injured and missed players. “We don’t have time to talk since we are ahead critical challenges; everyone has to double their efforts to achieve the most important objective in the current season.”

“My team deserves to be congratulated for today’s win. Now we will focus on the AFC Champions League where we will be working hard to achieve the desired results,” he added.

“Since football involves teamwork, we have to talk about all players,” he said, “Nasser Al Shumrani is a talented player. Even though he scored twice today but I still believe he can do more with the squad just like the other players.”

“It’s important to win all AGL matches since we have to show the needed fighting spirit and strong desire to put things on our favor,” he noted.

“It is also important not to overlook the 2016 AFC final. It’s a different challenge that we must tackle with new aspirations. Each encounter shall be dealt with separately with due respect to all foes,” he explained.

Zoran made clear that he only thinks of the results during the next stage regardless how the foes are doing. “The loss against Deba cost us three points, but we also lost many points during the AGL race. We will try our best to win all the upcoming matches,” he concluded.
