Al Ain beats Al Shabab ahead AFC

Al Ain FC achieved a precious 3-1 victory over its host Al Shabab in the game held today evening under the 19th round of AGL at the Maktoum Bin Rashid Al Maktoum stadium

The first half ended in a 1-1 draw. Al Ain’s Nasser Al Sumrani scored twice at 10 and 54 minutes (penalty kicks) and Ibrahim Diakey at 78 minutes. Mohammed Marzouk scored for Al Shabab at 42 minutes.

The victory placed the ‘Leaders’ at the 3rd place with 40 points, while Al Shabab froze at the 8th with 24 points.

It took Al Ain 10 minutes to control the course of the match with Al Shumrani making his way through th foes’ danger area, thus winning a penalty kick at 10 minutes.

Three minutes before the end of the first half, Al Shabab’s Mohammed Marzouk reestablished balance with a successful header after receiving a high cross from the Brazilian Levantor.

Once again, Nasser Al Shumrani put his team to the lead after tackling a second penalty kick (won by teammate Caio Lucas) at 54 minutes.

Ibrahim Diakey secured the win by scoring the third goal only 10 minutes after making his appearance in the match, thus proving up to the trust invested on him by coach Zoran.
