Zoran Mamic, the Croatian Coach of Al Ain FC, said his team’s next match against its host Al Shabab set to be held next Wednesday under the 19th round of AGL will be challenging. “We’re aware it will be a tough mission in light of the good potentials of the foes led by a new coach as team members need more time to achieve harmony with the new vision of the coach.”

Speaking in the pre-match press conference, Zoran underlined the importance of improving the team’s performance by delivering unique skills and the fighting spirits, and dealing seriously with focus with all the details throughout the game.

“We didn’t plan the loss last round against the foes, however, football cam be stressing. Overcoming such obstacles depends on focusing on the next match and let go the past,” he noted.

“I spoke with the players about the pros and cons of the match. Even though we lost, there were many advantages. Football is the most popular game in the world; teams need to convert opportunities into goals in order to win,” he added

Zoran made clear his focus lies on achieving good results rather than thinking about the first place. It isn’t appropriate to talk about positions before reaching the final stages of the tournament. Of course, I will be happy to top the leaderboard again.”

The newly-appointed coach voiced confidence that all players will go in harmony with his unique training style especially as the squad follow a teamwork style. “We will definitely improve our performance over time. Unfortunately, Ismael Ahmed is suspended in the next match but luckily enough Mohammed Abdurrahman is back on the lineup. Danilo Asprila is expected to return to the training sessions next Sunday.”

He also stressed that all players belong to one of Asia’s most prominent football clubs. “Al Ain is everything for its players so they have to play with high spirits. Currently, we have no time for talk since there are many challenges ahead. Many issues will be later discussed during the downtime,” he concluded.
