Rashid Muheir: winning over Al Shabab is only option
Al Ain defender, Rashid Muheir, stressed the importance of defeating Al Shabab in the 19th round of AGL in order to initiate the 2017 AFC Champions League with high spirits, acknowledging at the same time that such victory won’t be easy and vowing to spare no efforts to win the full 3 points.
“We must be focused, show confidence and fighting spirit and deal seriously with the game in order to win. Coach Zoran has addressed the technical errors from the last game,” he noted.
“it isn’t uncommon to lose a football game. However, great teams have the confidence to deal with all conditions and achieve victory over foes. Some teams manage to control the course of the match with many wasted chances, but they lose the match. This doesn’t mean they are bad teams, rather they lack the needed focus,” he added.
Rashid confirmed that all the players feel the connection with the new coach, and will adapt with the his new training style over time. “Zoran is a great coach with innovative ideas and style and the ability to instill a sense of challenge and enthusiasm into the players,” he concluded.
