In the pre-match press conference dedicated to the match between Al Ain and Al Wahda, Zoran Mamic, Croatia’s Head Coach of Al Ain FC, stated: “I expect a strong top confrontation against Al Wahda, but we entirely have full confidence in our potentials and our ability to achieve the best positive result with all our due respect to the competitor. We will also avail this opportunity to prove our powerful taking up again following the mistakes we committed during the past matchweek of the league.” He stressed: “Certainly, we still have five matches each one of which is an important challenge than the precedent match. We are aiming at sustaining our top spot in the standing table and compensate our loss against Al Sharjah by snatching the match’s three points.”

Commenting on a question if he thinks that winning the “Derby” match goes beyond the three points, he underlined: “I do not think that winning the visitors is worth more than three points,” he said. “Winning Ajman is like winning Al Wahda in terms of the end result. However, this does not mean that our mission will be easy as Al Ain and Al Wahda matches are “Derby” and it is good for Al Ain to clinch its points.” He concluded the press conference by commenting on Al Ain clean record this season: “We played 16 matches in the league and we did not lose any of them and still we are at the top spot of the standing table and surely will demonstrate our genuine charisma. Indeed, our recent loss will not end up by losing our self-confidence and we are all look forward to seeing crowds of fans in the standings of the stadium to further enhance the power of the team in the pitch.”
