Croatia’s Zoran Mamic, head coach of Al Ain Team, underlined that the schedule of Arabian Gulf League of the current season is so unusual and it is difficult to be explained, but we have to accept it whatever it is.

Commenting on Saturday’s match against Al Dhafra in matchweek 2 of the Arabian Gulf League, he said: “We do respect our opponent’s aspiration who has quality players and led by a great coach who was the best head coach in the Saudi Professional League “Mohammed bin Salman League Cup” in the last season.” He added: “We will do our best to win the match and snatch the three points, specially our team is playing at own turf and among our fans.”

He underlined that he is not happy with the level of preparations for the match as they were not optimal due to missing 11 players for more than two weeks. He concluded: “Unfortunately, a number of the international players will not play in the UAE national team’s two friendly matches except for 10 minutes or even did not play which causes lots of problems in the training and qualifying programs of player.”
