Zoran Speaks in A Language of Sadness and Anger
In the post-match press conference of Al Ain against Al Wahda, Head Coach of Al Ain Team Zoran Mamic stated: “I do not know exactly what feelings I have after the end of this confrontation, is it anger or sadness? Because as a professional coach I always want to win all the challenges of my team but the regulations of the Arabian Gulf Cup force the competing teams to play in a manner that does not allow them to fulfill their ambitions and goals.”
He added: “For example, a car cannot operate without a motor! In my opinion, the tournament regulations and content are not appropriate. However, the advantages of this competition include granting the opportunity for the players who have not had the opportunity to participate in official matches. We have to close the chapter of Al Wahda match and plan for the coming challenges.”
He also underlined the fact that: “In this competition, I several matches and numerical shortage does not mean anything compared to the complexities faced by the teams.” He signed off by stating: “Without having the good capabilities and required materials you cannot construct a perfect building in the right manner.
