Hussein El Shahat Signs to Al Ain in a Loan Contract Replacing Douglas

Al Ain FC has announced that Misr El-Makasa’s midfielder Hussain El Shahat, 26 years, has officially signed to Al Ain on a 6-month-loan contract replacing Brazil’s Dyanfres Douglas.

El Shahat enjoys high quality skills and his performance is featured by high fighting spirit as well as his ability to play in several positions as a playmaker, winger and right back. Egypt’s player is placed third on the Egyptian League’s top scorer list with 9 goals in 17 rounds.

In a press statement to Al Ain official website, the new comer pointed out: “I am well aware of what I should do during this new challenge defending the logo of one of the best teams in Asia and Arab world along with my teammates, particularly Al Ain is a strong candidate to compete for all home and away competitions.”

Thanks also go to Misr El-Makasa Club Management for granting me this chance to experience a new challenge in the Arabian Gulf League with the UAE’s “Boss” and would like to thank Misr El-Makasa’s fans for their support and encouragement since joining the club,” added he.

El Shahat signed off by stating: “Football certainly does not recognize the language of promises as much as giving and showing the spirit of fighting. I will do my best with great desire to defend the logo of Al Ain FC in all the coming challenges and be up to the expectations of the club management and the great fans.”

Noteworthy, El Shahat did receive several offers from Egyptian and Gulf clubs prior moving to Al Ain. He is the second Egyptian player to sign to Al Ain officially to boost the performance of the lines of Al Ain First Football Team as a foreigner player following his countryman Hossam Hassan, currently head coach of Al Masri Club, who signed to Al Ain in 2000.
