10.Dec.2022
Following qualifying for the semifinal match of the World Cup- 2022, H.E. Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, congratulated, over the phone, the head coach of Croatia National Football Team and former Al Ain Team.
Noteworthy, the Croatian Team won Brazil Football National Team from the penalty point in the match held in Doha at Lusail Stadium following a breathtaking clash match. With this result and as a reward for hard work and a well-done job, the Croatian team deserved to qualify for the semifinal stage.
The match was proof that Croatia’s head coach is talented and competent. He stated in the pre-match press conference that playing in the quarterfinal stage is a significant achievement while stressing that his national team’s match against Brazil, the first candidate to win the title, is the most crucial in the World Cup.
“We are a good team, too. We must play well, and we believe in our capabilities. We will seek to win one of the candidate teams to win the World Cup title,” Zlatko said.
Al Deri, in his comment on the Croatian’s team performance, said: “The obscure Croatian Team under the command of Zlatko achieved a unique accomplishment that the world has witnessed, by arriving at the golden square efficiently and relentless hard work following Brazil took the lead following double scoring goals until Croatians equalized taking the match to the extra-time- tie sending the match to penalties.”
“Croatia’s goalkeeper Dominik Livaković was the hero yet again in the shootout to confirm Zlatko’s accurate planning for the favorite team, Brazil, to win the title of World Cup 2022. The runners-up of the World Cup 2018 were far better than their match against Franc in the final match of 2018,” said Bin Thaloub.
He added: “The Croatian Team was lucky enough to win the penalty kicks, and they deserved to qualify for the third time to the semifinals to play against the Argentinian Team on Tuesday.”
Bin Thaloub signed off by saying: “It will be a new challenge on the pitch of Lusail Stadium following defeating the Brazilian opponent.”
