UAE jiu-jitsu continued its global rise with impressive results achieved by the UAE national team and Al Ain Club athletes at the U-21 Jiu-Jitsu World Championship in Thailand, where two Al Ain talents reached the podium after strong performances that showcased the readiness and competitiveness of Emirati athletes on the world stage.
Rashid Al Shehhi claimed the tournament’s top honor, winning the gold medal in the 56 kg division after an exceptional performance in which he demonstrated outstanding technical skills and the ability to control the tempo of his matches, solidifying his status as one of the UAE’s most promising rising stars.
In another Emirati achievement, Abdulrahman Mohammed Sidna captured the bronze medal in the 62 kg division, following a series of tough bouts where he displayed remarkable skill and fighting spirit, earning his well-deserved place on the world podium.
