Established in Al Ain City in 1968, Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club has significantly developed Al Ain City’s sports infrastructure while nurturing talented athletes to contest local, regional and international titles. The club adopts a dual role of enhancing local cultural values while promoting sports as a healthy lifestyle in the community.
The Club demonstrates an integral professional sports system that applies administrative, technical and investment plans following international best practice. It was one of the first regional clubs to make significant progress in activating its investment arm to ensure self-reliant expansion.
The Club comprised of, Al Ain Football Club Company, Al Ain Club Sports Games Company and Al Ain Club Investment Company. These three entities collaborate to implement the Club’s vision of elevating the United Arab Emirates’ reputation in international sporting arenas.
Over the past four decades, the Club has created a track record of excellence in all games, notably football, in its journey towards becoming one of the world’s top professional sports clubs. This history of achievements, which continuously exceeds the expectations of the Club’s fans and compatriots, is attributed to the Club’s results-based performance management system.
Al Ain Football Club is recognized for being the only team with the most tournament titles—it has won a record of twelve Arabian Gulf League titles, six President’s Cups, four Super Cups, four Federation Cups, six Arabian Gulf Cups, and one Arabian Gulf Club Cup, in addition to being the first and only Emirati club to win the AFC Champions League in 2003.
