Abdullah Ali, Supervisor of Al Ain Football Academy, pointed out that all the special arrangements to resume the football activities at the Academy are completed.

He stated: “The Board of Directors of Al Ain Football Academy had adopted the highest standards of safety procedures under the supervision of the Medical Committee of Al Ain Club. The Committee is tasked to protect all the Club’s members per the adopted health protocol.”

Abdullah Ali confirmed that all the logistics and medical resources are available to ensure a flawless football activity return.

He added: “The academy is fully ready, in terms of technical aspects, as we attracted coaches of top quality and skills, including local coaches.”

He also stated that the Academy has actually set up all the plans and programs of its teams. He assured that the Academy had approved two separate programs for the team’s players to be implemented by the coaching teams, and under the supervision of the Technical Manager, one is general, and the other is dedicated to the elite players.

As for the Academy’s work activities, he said: “The Academy’s teams did not stop working during the past period and were fulfilling their duties virtually using the video conferencing technology. The coaching teams were in direct contact with the players online, and all have a passion for resuming the football activities soon. All the coaching teams submitted their reports to the Technical Manager on the players’ performance indicators.”

The Technical Manager of the Football Academy explained that they all understand that the new season would be completely different due to the breakthrough of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He commented: “We do trust that all the official authorities’ decisions were made in coordination with the UAEFA and sports councils. We also know that the Competitions Committee is on ongoing meetings to discuss the best practices that guarantee the players and staff of the football academies of all clubs. Based on our responsibilities, our priority is the community’s safety and then resuming football activities.

As for the cancellation of specific competitions of junior teams this new season, he said that he believes that each decision is made after a deep and thorough examination conducted by all the competent entities. “The Competitions Committee circulated the decision to serve the best interest of our young sons. We wish all the best of health.”

Abdullah Ali said: “We are committed to the Football Academy to the health protocol and precautionary measures, as well as to implementing our technical programs based on the directives of the Club’s management. We are so dedicated to maintaining high development indicators of our players with sights set to improve their performance.”

He pointed out that specific incentive programs were adopted to boost performance indicators further.

“We have a monthly award dedicated to the significant player at all behavioral, technical, social, and academic levels. The players are selected based on a joint evaluation conducted by the coaches and administrative officers, medical staff, parents, and the strategic partners,” he said.

He concluded his statement by naming the winners of the “Star of the Month” Award for September 2020 of all teams, including Zayed Mohammad Ayed Al Shammari, U-18 Team, Hamad Khalfan Al Neqbi, U-16 Team, Ahmed Zahi Wajih, U-15 Team, Mohammed Musabbah Al Mazrouei, U-14 Team, Mansour Abdul Hakim Al Karbi, U-13/A, Khaled Nasser Al Khaili, U-13/ B.
