Gerard Zaragoza Mulet.. Spain’s Zaragoza is the Head Coach of the Al Ain U-21 Team

Al Ain Football Club Company has officially announced today, signing the Spanish Gerard Zaragoza Mulet as the head coach of the Al Ain Reserved Team as of the new season until June 2023.

Zaragoza and his assistant coaching team consisting of Sebas Vega, the assistant coach, and Albert Martins, the physical trainer, will officially assume their responsibilities today in preparation for the new season.

Biography

Gerard Zaragoza’s relationship with football coaching began due to his association with his father, who worked as a coach then. As a result, they both experienced the atmosphere of reactions on the pitch from the stands and inside the dressing rooms.

His passion for coaching was boosted when he was 18 years old. He began his academic journey to obtain the official licenses to practice his career in football coaching.

His first mission was successful by all accounts when he coached the Catalonia national team for two seasons and won the Spanish championship twice. Then worked for the Qatar Aspire Academy in Africa to discover football talents, where he spent three years before returning to his hometown to work at the Espanyol Academy. He coached the U-16 team there, then moved to Georgia to work as a professional coach. First, he led the Lokomotiv Talbis Team to win the league title. Then, he took over the training of Torpedo Kutaisi and led the team to play in the European League.

After that, he returned to Qatar to work with Dutch coach Michael Laudrup as an assistant on Al Rayyan Team. He also coached the Bengaluru Team and led them to win the Indian Super League title before coaching the Shabab Al Ahli first and reserved teams.
