In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, Chairman of the Executive Committee, Chairman of the Steering Committee of the Affairs of Al Ain Football Club Company, “Al Zaeem” boosted its lead of Group A with a full score after raising its tally to nine points through their crucial victory over their Saudi guest Al Fayha in the match took place this evening at HBZS as part of the third round of the group stage of the 2023-24 AFC Champions League.
Al Ain scored four goals, with two goals by Alejandro Kaku (45+3” and 67”), and one goal by Kouame Autonne (36”) and Soufiane Rahimi “90” while Al Fayha’s only goal was scored by Nawaf Al Harthi (84”).
In the second match of the same group, the Uzbek Pakhtakor defeated the Turkmen Ahal 3-0 at Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent.
Al Ain player Kaku was awarded the Man-of-the-Match title.
