Al Ain captain, Bandar Al Ahababi, said, “We are ready to face Al Fayha, Saudi Arabia, and we are well aware that our task will not be easy, particularly as every team is aiming to qualify for the next stage of the AFC Champions League. However, we deal with each match individually and ask Allah for success and hope to deliver the performance that aligns with our ambitions as players and pleases Ainawi fans”.

Replying to a question about the pressures facing the team in the matches, he said, “Naturally, our team experiences and coexists with the pressure of the matches as we compete in multiple competitions, both locally and regionally. However, we are professional players, and Al Ain has a high-level coaching staff and a medical team capable of helping players recover properly. We are playing tomorrow’s match at our stadium and amidst our fans, and we look forward to achieving the positive result that will please Al Ain fans”.

Regarding the current edition of the AFC Champions League coinciding with the 20th anniversary of Al Ain’s achievement of the continental title in 2003, Bandar said, “It was a great honor for Al Ain to win the title at that time and all our fans will never forget those memorable days in the club’s history. We pledge to the fans that we will do our best to regain that title, and nothing will stand in our way, whether our generation or the next one”.
