Issam Abdullah, Al Ain Team Administrative Manager, expressed his deepest appreciation and admiration of the performance of the “Boss” players during the match against Iran’s Esteghlal Tehran that ended by the qualification of the team to the quarterfinals. Equally, he extended his sincerest thanks to the fans of Al Ain Team who were keen to attend the crucial last match of the current season, the matter that contributed significantly in achieving the historical record result through their support and standing up for Al Ain players on the pitch.

He further explained, “Al Ain recapped the current season, in which the team lost all the chances to win any title, by their heroic performance against their Iranian opponent; a record result that will remain entrenched in the minds of all Al Ainawi Nation and the fans of the UAE football as well.” He pointed out that, “No doubt that Al Ain players did play a historical match with the determination of the real men and heroes. They all are fully aware that the team’s ambitions are not limited to qualify to the next stage only. I wish them all the best of luck and be able to hold the continental glory and restore the Asian title back to AL Ain City. Absolutely, they will be up to the expectations.”

As for Lee Myung who is leaving the team, he stated that, “Lee Myung is an exceptional quality player who is good at playing in any position. Since he joined the team, he was playing important roles that supersedes the field requirements. He did leave a mark in each position he played in. I believe he won the hearts of all the fans for his dedication and sincere efforts he relentlessly paid to the last minute to defend the Club’s logo. He is indeed a great and ideal example of a professional football player both inside or outside the pitch.”
