H.E. Mohammed Bin Thaloub Al Darei, Chairman of the Board of Al Ain Club Investment Company, praised to the skies the historical victory achieved by Al Ain Team, the UAE football sole representative in the AFC Champions League, against Iran’s Esteghlal Tehran by 6-1 in the momentous supporters’ match between the two teams held at the architectural masterpiece of UAE stadiums, Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium.

He added that this great result granted the “Boss” their fair qualification and to occupy the top spot of Group C by 12 points following playing six matches. By this result, the team is placed ahead of Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli by one point and Iran’s Thoub Ahan placed third while Uzbek’s Bunyodkor occupied the fourth spot.

He pointed out that such a result was the guarantee for the representative of the UAE football to cruse to the last eight round of the Asian Champions League with full confidence by their famous thumping against their opponent making their revenge for losing the first leg match in Iran.
