Matar Al Ka’abi: Khalid Issa is My Guru in Football and Rayan Yaslam in Academic Stream

Al Ain Football Sector honored the goalkeeper of U-12 Team Matar Salem Al Ka’abi on the occasion of his academic stunning achievement by an average of 95%. Abdullah Ali, the Administrative Supervisor of Al Ain Football Academy, granted the player an in-kind award and a certificate of appreciation on the sidelines of one of the training sessions of his team amid fervent applause from All his fellow players.

On this occasion, Abdullah Ali stated: “The Football Sector is so keen to promote its players’ desire to pay attention to the academic aspects.” He stressed: “The Football Sector strives to create the grounds for the players’ excellence academically so that they can have the balance between attending training sessions and their academic achievement. We do follow up with the parents as well as the players’ schools to provide them with intensive and advanced placement classes and improve their potentials in certain subjects which requires them to double their efforts. He concluded by saying: “I believe that honoring the outstanding players is important to promote the spirit of challenge among players to achieve the best results.”

Honoring the Outstanding

In his turn, Mohammed Al Haddad, Head Coach of Al Ain U-15 Team, emphasized that honoring the outstanding players of Al Ain’s junior teams enhances the desire of all players to improve their academic achievement in the right manner. “I do wish our goalkeeper Matar Al Ka’abi all the best in football as well as at the academic level.”

Psychiatry

Matar Salem Al Ka’abi expressed his pleasure for honoring him by Al Ain Club Management for his academic excellence. He stressed: “I am always committed to do all my school homework so that they are not accumulated and become a burden. The Club Management has been always supporting me to aim high academically.”

Al Ka’abi pointed out: “Celebrating my achievement and honoring me has given me the essential motive to push myself to the limit to pursue my academic excellence.” He added: “Personally, I look at Rayan Yaslam as my role model in terms of academic achievement and at the same time I do wish to become a distinguished goalkeeper with the potentials of Khalid Issa.”

On his future ambitions, he said: “I want to study psychiatry.”

As for his favorite club, other than Al Ain, he stated: “I am a real fan of Spain’s Real Madrid.”
