Al Ain’s international defender, Ahmed Ismail, considered the preseason training camp held ahead of the start of the new season as one of the most important stages of preparing the team considering its great challenges and important matches at the local, regional and continental levels. “Al Ain is the only club that participates in all tournaments and competitions compared to the rest of national clubs. Add to that, Al Ain is always required to win titles consistent with the ambitions of each member of this lofty sport entity and make the club’s loyal fans happy and contented,” stressed he.

He added: “All Al Ain players at the camp well aware of the burdens on their shoulders and this is why they are redoubling their efforts during the intensive training sessions they are taking part in aiming to achieve the greatest gains.”

“We all do understand the importance of the new football season for Al Ain Club, and we are all committed to realize our desired goals in a season that coincides with the Golden Jubilee of the Club,” said he. He pointed out: “These things motivate us to overcome fatigue and exhaustion. I can assure everybody that everybody is exerting his full energy to arrive at the planned level of readiness and fitness to be ready to win all matches and challenges awaiting us in the new season.”

In response to a question about the pressures facing the team, especially that Al Ain is the club with the highest rates of participation in championships and tournaments, he said: “It is normal for all big clubs to face higher levels of pressure compared to other clubs. Big clubs are always required to perform well and win all their matches, so as to be able by the end of each season to enhance their records of achievements. As I stated earlier, challenges awaiting the “Boss” in the new season are massive and we are committed to compete all opponents to clinch titles.”

On the second leg match against ES Sétif, he commented: “Our mission against our opponent will not be easy. However, our morale is high, and our desire is great; we will spare no effort to win the match and move forward to the next stage of this big and important championship with all due respect to ES Sétif’s aspirations. We all do understand to how important to have full concentration and overcome pressures. I do wish my team all the best.”

“Al Ain is my first and last home, so I will never have any disputes or disagreement with this big entity that has grated me everything,” responded he to a question on the offers from other clubs he has received during the recent six months. He went on to say: “Al Ain will be the best team for ever due to the generous care and great support that this club has always been receiving and on top of that is the success strategy developed by H.H. Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice-Chairman of the Executive Council, First Vice President of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club, First Vice President of the Honorary Council & Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Ain Sports and Cultural Club. I do feel proud of each moment I am spending here defending the club’s precious logo.”

He added: “I would like to reassure the loyal Ainawi Nation on the best conditions of the team and promise them that we will show our genuine fighting spirit in all our matches to clinch more titles in the new season which will be exceptional in everything as it coincides with the Golden Jubilee of the club.” He addressed a message to the fans: “We are confident that our fans will stand behind the team and support the players all the time. Al Ain fans are one of the most important part of the team and their presence in standing elements enhances the team’s chances to achieve the best positive results. Definitely, fans’ presence motivates players and frightens opponents.”
