Abdullah Ali: Sergey Wants to Play a Match Every 48 hours in the Second Phase

This evening, Al Ain Club’s First Football Team concluded the first phase of the away camp by holding a training session with Spain’s Levante Football Club.

The first phase was during 12-25 July 2021 and held in Murcia. The Boss squad left to the new playfields to complete the away preparation period which will end by 8 August 2021.

Abdullah Ali, Supervisor of the Al Ain First Football Team, said that the internal training session held this morning with the participation of Span’s Levante in replacement of the friendly match scheduled to be held against KSA Al Ra’ed FC.

“The friendly match against Al Ra’ed FC was cancelled in compliance with the health protocol to hold matches in agreement between the two clubs and in line with the regulations in force at the away camp. The two teams have already played two friendly matches yesterday, as Al Ain played against Murcia and Al Ra’ed faced the UAE Al-Nasr Club.” Abdullah said.

He added: “The two teams participated in the training session today, in coordination between the coaching teams of the two teams, for only one hour divided into two equal halves.”

Abdullah stated that Coach Serhiy involved some players in the training session, while the remaining players underwent special training in the gym attached to the team’s residence in the hotel.

He went on to say that the Ukrainian, Serhiy Rebrov, requested to play a match every 48 hours in the second phase of the away camp, or to participate in a training session with one of the teams available in the region.

He concluded that the aim of holding such training sessions is to identify the team’s capabilities and correcting the mistakes that the friendly matches revealed before the end of the away camp and flying back to UAE.
