The First Match is Scheduled to be in Al Ain City at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium and the Second in Israel

Al Ain and Maccabi Haifa clubs have officially announced today signing the historic memorandum of understanding between the Emirati and Israeli sports clubs.

The MoU signing took place virtually and jointly broadcasted in Al Ain and Haifa exclusively through Al Ain TV Channel.

The ceremony was attended by Yaakov Shahar, President of Israel’s Maccabi Haifa Club, and Mohammed bin Thaloub Al Deri, Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company, Uzi Moore, Vice- President of Maccabi Haifa Club, Rashid Abdullah, Executive Director of Al Ain Club and Assaf Ben Dov, Executive Director of Maccabi Haifa Club.

In his statement he addressed following signing the MoU, Mohammed Bin Thaloub said: “I would like to congratulate everybody for this historic partnership. In this regard, I would like to stress that we are committed to the principles of our Islamic religion and move forward following in the steps of our wise leadership.”

Bin Thaloub also pointed out that he believes that the partnership with Maccabi Haifa Club is a crucial step as it confirms the message and roles of sports in promoting the concept of tolerance and consolidating the principle of peace among nations.

“This MoU aims to support the policy of cooperation and establishing bridges of communications between the two big clubs in all marketing, technical, investment, commercial, media, and sports aspects,” he said.

The Chairman of Al Ain Club Investment Company revealed that the two clubs have approved holding two friendly matches under the theme of “Peace Matches”. The first match would be held in Al Ain City at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, and the second one would be held in Haifa City. The dates and timings would be announced later on.
