We Look Forward to Drawing a Smile on the Faces of the Best Grassroots in the UAE

Sergiy Rebrov stated that he explained to the squad players that this month is the most important one in the current season for several reasons.

“The results of the matches will determine whether we should focus on the league or the cups. We have to focus on the remaining five matches and matches of the President’s Cup regardless of the team’s performance in the recent matches,” the head coach of the Al Ain Team stated in the pre-match press conference of matchweek 22 of ADNOC Pro League against Khorfakkan Team.

As for the match against Khorfakkan, he commented: “We must focus only against Khorfakkan, and I still remember our away match against them in the Cup competition. It was a tough match, and we won 1-0. However, we must admit it will not be an easy mission.”

Rebrov added: “The players should play seriously, and we must close the chapter of the recent match against Al Wasl and return to the President’s Cup playing at home this time.”

The coach also emphasized that he constantly reminds the players that they should not focus on the team’s chances to win the league title rather than focusing on the next match only.

“Our match is against Khorfakkan, and do not think about what will happen at the end of the season. We have to focus on ourselves and not on the other teams. Again, we will wait until the end of the season and see what will happen,” he said.

Regarding the injured players who may miss the next match against Khorfakkan, he said: “Certain players are suffering from minor injuries, but we still have 48hrs to decide who are in form. However, I believe that all the players are fully ready for the coming match.”

Rebrov addressed a message to the fans: “I always say that Al Ain fans are the best in UAE. They are always behind the team, hoping the coaching teams and players will do their best to make them happy.”

“I believe that we could do it together,” he concluded.
