In the pre-match press conference of Al Ain against Shabab Al Ahli Dubai, Japan’s Tsukasa Shiotani stated: “We are determined to win all our matches and we all are aware that our match against our guests will be a difficult one. Therefore, we have no option expect to redouble our efforts and do our best to win the match and secure its three points with all due respect to their ambitions.”
Responding to a question on the factor of the hot weather and its impact on the players’ performance, he said: “The weather factor always affects both teams. All players are required to play with an accurate balance during the match just not to be exhausted and lose their energy quickly.” He underlined that Al Ain squad is always required to deal wisely and perfectly with all circumstances to win their matches, specially the team is playing at home and among their fans.
When asked about his preferable position on the pitch, he said: “I prefer to play in the position which the head coach sees appropriate for me as he is the one who knows my potentials and how I could help my team through a certain position to achieve the desired goals. Personally, I am fully convinced with the tasks I am required to fulfil and the position I have to play in.”
