With Passionate Participation of the Members, Veterans and Communities.. Al Ain Club Celebrates the National Sports Day

On the National Sports Day held under the theme “UAE-Unites-Us”, Al Ain Club organized several events in the premises of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium. The activities kicked off in the early morning of Thursday 7th March 2019 with the march where the all Al Ain Club’s staff, people of determination members of Al Ain Club and Emirates Post employees took part in. the march started from Al Ain Football School, then round the stadium to arrive finally at the field of Khalifa Bin Zayed Stadium.

More than 200 employees of the club participated in the events dedicated for this occasion. The events included different activities and kicked off by “tug of war” game held at the sand field where Al Ain Sports Games Club won Al Ain Football Academy. Also, a futsal tournament was held at the indoor court among 6 teams, namely Al Ain companies, the Al Ain Academy coaches, Post Office Team. Al Ain Investment Company won the title of the tournament following winning Al Ain Academy Team “C” by 2-0. In the Table Tennis Tournament, Mohammed Abdul Rahman Al Haddad of Al Ain Football Company won the title after beating Jaber Tayyara from Al Ain Sports Games Company.

By the end of the morning activities, Sultan Rashid, Board Member of Al Ain Football Company and the Sports Director, honoured the winners of the first spots and the participating companies.

In the evening events, the outdoor football fields at Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium hosted the activities of the futsal competition with the participation of 8 teams. Al Ain Club Team was led by Sultan Rashed, Waleed Salem, Abdullah Ali, Rami Yaslam, Ali Sultan, Jumaa Salem, Sabit Khater and Mahboob Ali, along with the participation of Palestinian, Sudanese, Jordanian, Afghan, Syrian communities. By the end of the tournament, the Jordanian Community Team crowned with the title following beating the Palestinian Community Team by 3-0.

In the other sports activities, the Filipino Community Volleyball Team won the title following beating the Jordanian Volleyball Team by 3-1 rounds. In the basketball tournament held at Al Nahyania School, Al Ain team won the championship and the gold medals following beating the Tunisian Community Basketball Team by 39-31. The activities concluded by a demonstration presented by Al Ain Jujitsu Team.

By the end of all evening activities marking the National Sports Day, Ahmed Sultan Al Nuaimi, Sports Director of Al Ain Sports Games Company, crowned the winners of the first spot in all activities, besides honouring all participating companies, the communities’ teams and Al Ain Jujitsu Team.
